In 2022, when I was making the SocksArt animals from the story “Gauche the Cellist”, I picked out striped socks for the Cuckoo’s belly. I found them at the Uniqlo store in Manhattan - they were a perfect pair of striped socks with separate toes. I purchased an extra 2 pairs just in case at the time. For this project, I used the toe parts for the queen bee’s wings (the remaining parts were used for my SocksArt Whale’s stomach.)
2022年、「セロ弾きのゴーシュ」の物語に登場するソックスアートの動物を作っていたとき、カッコウのお腹に縞模様の靴下が必要でした。幸運なことに、マンハッタンのユニクロ店で、つま先が分かれたストライプの靴下を見つけました。その時、念のため、2足購入しておいたのですが、今回、その残りの一足の、つま先部分を、この女王蜂の羽として、使用しました。（ストライプの部分は、くじらのお腹の部分に使いました。）
