“And Tango Makes Three” by Justin Richardson and Peter Parnell and illustrated by Henry Cole, is a true story of penguins who live in New York City’s Central Park Zoo. I was touched by reading this lovely story. Two male penguins adopted and raised a baby penguin. I was surprised to see that not only humans but also animals have same sex friendship/marriage. So, I added this penguin family to my SocksArt project.
ニューヨークのセントラルパークの動物園での実話にもとづいた話しで、この絵本をとても感慨深く読みました。二頭のオスの仲良しのペンギンが、赤ちゃんペ ンギンを養子にして育てるという話です。動物達の世界にも、同性愛や同性婚がある事には、驚かされましたが、微笑ましくて、ソックスアートプロジェクトに、このペンギン一家を加えました。 日本語訳の本の題名は「タンタンタンゴはパパふたり」です。著者は、Justin Richardson and Peter Parnell で、イラストは、Henry Cole。
