I had purchased deep red Uniqlo socks for making the reindeer, but the color didn’t work very well. So, I thought that making a lobster with this colored sock would be a better choice. The hard part of making this lobster was its legs. Toothpicks were placed inside the surface of the sock. The lobster looks quite a crustacean and I included a chef hat to give it some character.
緑色のトナカイの制作時に、赤と緑のクリスマスカラーとして、深紅色の靴下も買い求めたけれど、緑色とマッチしなく、トナカイとして使わず、この深紅色にぴったりイメージが合うロブスターを作る事にしました。難しかったところは、細い脚。実は、つまようじが中に入っています。このロブスター、思いもよらず甲殻類っぽくなり、シェフ帽もよく似合っています。
